When recent conference attendees attended a party hosted by our client ABB, they were “dropped” into the north woods of Wisconsin, without leaving downtown Milwaukee!

Underwood Events presented a turnkey event, which included event branding, menu creation, venue design and theming and entertainment. The event projected the essence of Wisconsin, immersing guests in an old-school tavern environment.

The mainstay of any Wisconsin tavern is its massive bar where guests congregate and make new friends. The custom-built ABB Tavern was no different. Surrounded by dozens of live Aspen and arborvitae trees, the massive bar, crafted of stained wood and a leather tufted facade reminiscent of mid-century style, displayed iconic souvenirs from Wisconsin’s famous breweries, Schlitz and Old Milwaukee, plus an array of beverage options, including several local craft beers.

Five different food stations promised a different aspect of the Wisconsin culinary experience, from Tailgating and Up North, to America’s Dairyland, the Wisconsin State Fair and of course, the Kid’s Table, for the youngest visitors. Custom signs carefully hoisted inside the hotels framed mirrors, directed guests to the hearty food items.

ABB’s corporate colors were represented in the black-and-white checkered tablecloths that wrapped the tables, which were also topped with vibrant red flowers. The Joe Hite Orchestra created a lively backbeat for the adults, and children found their own happy place in the arcade area filled with video games and a pinball machine. Memories were made for groups who posed in a photo booth, in front of the Milwaukee skyline.

UE’s “Tour of Wisconsin” delivered on the goals of our client… to treat attendees to a slice of Wisconsin’s favorite things by bringing them together for a night of great food, conversation and relationship building.
