Coordinating logistics for an ultimate weekend for 1,000 unsuspecting contest winners from all over the world is not for the faint of heart! One of the most difficult projects we’ve ever taken on, in the end, our project management expertise ensured the client was thrilled and guests were treated flawlessly to an amazing once-in-a-lifetime trip. We sat down with a well-deserved cold one to celebrate its success, which was fitting since the client was Bud Light.
The travelers? Imagine 1,000 winners out of an incredible 7 million entrants to Bud Light’s Whatever, USA 2015 consumer contest. These lucky winners knew they were headed to an amazing, all-expenses-paid weekend somewhere, but they didn’t know the secret location until a few days beforehand. But we did. The destination was Catalina Island off the coast of California. And we were working around the clock to get them there, securing each winner’s airfare, developing a targeted communication plan, securing housing and ensuring it would be an unforgettable experience for our client’s guests. Less than 60 days before the big weekend, we were negotiating hotel contracts and making reservations for all 1,000 guests at 20 different island properties!
When the guests arrived in California our team managed the registration experience where 1,000 consumers received customized itineraries, round trip ferry assignments, daily credentials and hotel assignments. The massive undertaking went smoothly, professionally and without incident…proving, once again, that our team is #upforwhatever!
